Comprising a blend of fiber-optic, fixed wireless, and satellite technologies, the network promises broadband speeds up to 100 Mbps, outperforming the average broadband speeds in the country. However, the cost of the massive rollout, running into billions of dollars, may prove prohibitively expensive for some users.

On the other hand, 5G is the cutting-edge fifth-generation mobile network technology being rolled out globally, offering faster, more reliable and responsive mobile internet access, with operators promising speeds of up to 1 Gbps. This technology excels in its speed and responsiveness, making it ideal for low latency applications such as virtual and augmented reality and the Internet of Things. However, its coverage remains limited, with only select areas enjoying 5G network access.

In conclusion, while both NBN and 5G strive towards providing faster, more reliable internet access, they each have their unique strengths and weaknesses, and cater to different user needs.
